Prosthetic X

MozFest is ‘a unique hybrid: part art, tech and society convening, part maker festival, and the premiere gathering for activists in diverse global movements fighting for a more humane digital world.’

A perfect stage to test and elaborate with a community on our Data Donor Register project

The Data Donor Register (DaDoR) is being developed as part of the speculative art project Prosthetic X, in which an artificial data organ is created to enable healthy ageing. Since it works on data, it should do so in a responsible way. The DaDoR wants to set a standard for wearable and IoT devices by creating a user-centred terms of service. The DaDoR, proposes a direction, responding to the appeal of the New York Times Privacy Project.

With the DaDoR we ‘start over’ by rethinking privacy and data sharing from a ‘human-centric point of view’.

At MozFest 2021 we will show some prototypes of Prosthetic X to discuss with participants, and consequently start co-designing the boundaries to make a truly human centric data privacy policy. We invite to share knowledge, network, and inspire each other. With Prosthetic X we ensure an inspiring, visual context for debate.
