HEClab - online platform

Details

About

HEClab was originally developed as part of the project Hungry EcoCities, with the idea to identify cross-overs between the 20 experiments that were part of this program and support their follow-up development. During 2025 and 2026, it evolved into a sophisticated scouting platform, allowing art-driven innovation prototypes to identify fitting opportunities for testing and further development.

Too often innovative creative and scientific breakthroughs fail to find the right producer, company or institution to make its full potential come through. With a focus on Technology Readiness Levels 4 to 6, the HEClab strives to bridge this gap, facilitating demonstrations, validations, and real-world applications of innovative solutions.

Partners

The platform was originally developed as part of Hungry EcoCities with the support of consortium members KU Leuven, Brno University of Technology and Mendel University of Agrisciences and was tested throughout that program by the involved artists and SMEs.The platform is built and continuously improved by SUSDat.
